Football Training 2010

First of all welcome back and a Happy New Year from all at the club. We now start a new year hopefully fully fit and raring to go for the season and year ahead. As you will have experienced over the last few weeks through Christmas and New Year the weather has been pretty bad and obviously in no way suitable for training. With that in mind I would like to point out that there is still a long way to go in the winter season and would urge all players to continue to monitor the Club web site prior to training to make sure that they are aware of any last minute cancellations. If in any doubt whether training is on or off then please feel free to call me on any of the phone numbers below to confirm

Players under 16 or accompanied by Carers

My own personal advice to those parents with children under the age of 16 or players accompanied by carers is that if you believe that the weather is either too cold, wet or in any other way too adverse then it is rightfully your decision that the player should not attend. The most important aspect of training is to make sure that the players enjoy their time here and not go home suffering from a cold or at the worst Hypothermia. For those over 16 you are big enough and ugly enough to make that decision whether to come to training.

Training Equipment/Kit

The club continue to ensure as quickly as possible that all players are issued with fit and proper training equipment. The committee have agreed that if a player has been issued with training kit then that training kit must be worn to training. This policy must be adhered to and none more so than at this time of the year when the weather is so poor. If a player has not been issued training kit then that player/parent/carer should ensure that they attend in adequate clothing to suit the conditions.
Many thanks for your continued support and assistance
